New Zealand City Council
The Problem: Needed to reduce ICE vehicle usage while introducing EVs into their shared fleet model. They also sought to allow community access to these vehicles after hours.
The Solution: By implementing KEAZ technology, the client optimised fleet utilisation, reduced operating costs, and enabled community vehicle sharing during off-peak hours—all while promoting sustainable practices.
The Outcome: Capital and operating costs dropped, vehicle CO₂ emissions were reduced, and the council successfully promoted the adoption of a sharing economy by the public.
Local Government Legal Department
The Problem: Staff lost time walking to key storage lockers when accessing shared vehicles, often leading to inefficiencies.
The Solution: Through KEAZ keyless entry feature and app-based reservation system, vehicle access was streamlined.
The Outcome: Administrative time per vehicle use was cut by 40 minutes, lost key issues were eliminated, and HR was able to accurately monitor driver behaviour for accountability.
International Transport Operator
The Problem: Sought to schedule change cars for bus driver shift-swaps; integrate into driver assignment screens, reduce accidents, manage infringements and create vehicle flexibility.
The Solution: Keaz ability to easily track shift swap vehicles while providing for ‘keyless’ vehicle access. Integrated with the scheduling system to allow for vehicle allocation updates each morning.
The Outcome: Transdev can now track driver behaviour and allocate driver infringements confidently and accurately. Drivers now have keyless access so no keys are being swapped or lost and no more delays to driver change-overs
Not-for-Profit Agency
The Problem: National fleet of 166 vehicles across 31 sites. Wanted real-time use metrics and sought to optimise asset usage.
The Solution: Installed the full Keaz solution including Reservations and the Keyless Entry (via RFID Card Readers) modules, integrated with GPS Trackers.
